One little Word Wednesday ...

If you want to know why i chose this word head {here}
If you want to see what changes I have already made read {here}
my most recent post visit  {here}

how am i doing you ask... umm not the greatest!
by that I mean with my being in the word...
I am in the word almost daily but falling behind in my reading the bible in one year plan.
I need to give myself some slack as I am still in the word daily just not on the "schedule"

I have been learning and growing so much lately.
I can feel the Lord's presence so much more, and his blessing are abundant.
I can not wait to share with you later this week all about what i learned on a the marriage retreat we went on!

As for biting my tongue i am doing so much better.
I feel I am getting a better grip on things.
I realized that I have no right to "judge" for lack of better words, others sins.
I know we are called to rebuke other Christians when we see them sin
but i need to let them work on it before i add my two sense!
trust I have enough of my own issues to work on that it's probably better for me
to not but in!

Some people say all judgment is wrong by singling out the verse "Judge not, that ye be not judged" (Matthew 7:1). It is true that there are certain forms of judgment that we are not meant to make. The above verse is referring to one of these forms. However, there are instances where the Bible says that we need to judge.
Correction is not judgment, as the Bible says that we should correct, rebuke and be bold to those who are sinning. It is to be done in an act of caring for them in the hope that they will believe. That way we could contribute to the saving of a soul. If we don't, we could be responsible for suppressing the truth which could mean eternal death instead of eternal life for that person. "James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins."

Matthew 18:15-17 (NIV)
“If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

  2. Chrissy this post is so dead on. I hear so many people say that God says not to judge and so they do nothing when another brother or sister is struggling and in need of some true words. I am so glad you posted about this, because as you can read, I can't example myself well :)
    Thank you!!!

    Isn't it amazing how the more attention we pay to the Lord and give thanks for His blessings, the more blessed we feel?
