A little home update... painted living room

This weekend a lot changed in our house.
The kids had an afternoon planned with their aunt.
I decided to use that time to repaint the living room.
I had exactly 4 and half hours to get the job done.
Before I even dropped them off, I had the walls emptied
holes filled and everything taped off.
I could not waste any time once I got back home.

The wall was painted a pretty teal color
I loved the blue but it was getting hard to add new accent colors to the room.
I decided painting the whole room the same color would make that easier.

I chose the color Barn Owl white by Ralph Lauren.
I originally bought the paint for the rest of the living room at Home Depot (3 years ago),
just found out they no longer carry Ralph Lauren Paint.
I luckily had the paint can left and they just color matched it for me.
(color was a perfect match by the way)
Besides painting the blue wall, I ended up repainting the entire room.
I wanted it all to look clean and fresh.
I was too lazy to remove some pictures so i painted round them HA..
Good thing the color match was perfect!

So on to the pictures!
I have to start with this picture I found from 2007...
I had just had Hip surgery and was showing off my jump scissors kick!
This is what our used to look like!
Red wall, gray carpet, and black/white linoleum.

here is the room after he painting was finished!
and yes, i did finish painting the whole room within my time limit!

 as soon I returned from getting the kids I was anxious to redecorate the room
The hubby helped me.
I love the new layout.
If feels so much more clean and simple without being bare!
