Hello everyone, my name is Alecia and I am very excited to share my etsy shop with you today!!! I have been a fan of Chrissy’s blog for quite some time now, so I am honored to be guest posting for her.

My etsy shop is called Poppy Tree Designs and I opened it early spring of this year. I sell original acrylic paintings on canvas and I love using a bold background color behind a white image. I just wanted to share with you how I started up and maybe share some inspiration for those of you that are thinking about opening an etsy shop yourselves. Choose something to sell that you are passionate about. My love for painting came about in a bit of an odd way. I found myself painting our coffee table every couple weeks because it would get beat up easily from Friday night game nights and I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to paint the coffee table every day! We needed some art to hang up in our bedroom and so I went out and bought all the painting supplies I might need and gave it a try, and boy do I LOVE it! Here are a few of the paintings currently in my shop:

Opening an etsy shop has been so much fun and it’s amazing to think that some of my very own paintings are hanging up in someone else’s home. I mean how cool is that?! If you have the passion and determination for something, I truly believe that you will go far.
