My Pinterest challenge piece ...

the-pinterest-challenge

I am sure you are sick of seeing this piece on facebook, instagram and now the blog
but i am kind of proud of how it turned out
of course I had to use it as my Pinterest challenge piece.

Wedding guest Book...

Here is my inspiration Pin from Pinterest...

This piece runs for from $65.00 to $145.00 on etsy.

My project was about $12.00
again my project...

So there is actually not a "real" tutorial on this project but I can give you a run down on what I did...

Supplies needed:

  • Canvas
  • paint
  • hot glue
  • mod podge
  • scrap book paper (color for tree, birds, and leaves)

First
I painted the canvas a pretty gray with acrylic paint.
I then used my silhouette cameo to cut our the tree image, the birds, all the leaves, and the couples name/wedding date.

Second:
I mod podged the letters, tree and bird to the canvas. applying a thin coat underneath and on top.

Third:
I hot glued all the leaves with a very thin layer of glue.
(do not mod podge over the leaves or people will not be able to sign them)

and DONE!

Check out the guest book once it started getting signed...

Now that the wedding is over I am going to put a layer of mod podge over the entire canvas to seal the leaves.

Don't forget to head over to each ladies blog to check out their projects.

  1. It looks amazing! I might need to buy a cameo just so I can make one of these for my brother's upcoming wedding. It would be took cute with their shabby chic theme.
