Sewing with my girl... bow clutch

Since my daughter has mastered the reversable tote bag
she wanted a new project to tackle.

Of course we headed straight to pinterest for ideas.
I wanted something she could do on her own
so we found this tutorial...

But we felt it needed a little more personality..
we loved this clutch but i thought it might be too hard for her to start with

We decided to make up our own pattern...

here is what we came up with..
Mine:

hers: which is super fab i might add...

She is excited to make more of these for her friends..
She actually took a list of orders already!

I can not wait to start a new project with her!

  1. Total win! I tried this over the weekend too! Mine is similar, but very different too! It's a zipper pouch. I had a hard time trying to figure out MY way of cinching the middle of the bow. I love the way you did it! Totally tops my tied twine! Love it!

  4. Oh I just l-o-v-e it! The grey/pink combo is to die for! I've been thinking I need a little sassy clutch for when I don't want to drag my diaper bag around with me, and something like this would be perfect! I'd be thrilled if you'd come share this at the Head to Head Showdown, going on right now at www.icantstopcrafting.blogspot.com ~Jen
