Grandkids clothespin board

We are on a slightly stricter budget for Christmas than in years past.
Normally that would make me a little depressed but this year I am embracing it!
I am going to get my thrifty girl groove on and make the best of it.
If that means 2nd hand gifts for the kiddos,
re purposed gifts for friends and family
than so be it!

I had some supplies laying around the house and found some amazing inspirations on pinterest
for the perfect gift for my parents...

I took a thrifted plaque I had.. sanded it
using this tutorial for painting words on wood (font is called Broadway, you can get it here)
I made this grandkids board for my parents

and yes, my mom saw this already.
I thought i blocked her from an album i made on facebook
but i did not.
she promised to act surprised on Christmas!

  1. Chrissy bless your heart, you aren't the only one on a tight budget this year. I LOVE THIS IDEA for my parents house. They live on the water so I can do a coastal take and maybe add some shells. And I might have to make 3 of them since all together we children have given them 14 grandchildren, mine being the youngest at 21 months.

Thanks for sharing and inspiring...Im sure your parents will love it!
